How to Choose the Right Fire Pit Table for Your Patio
A fire pit table is the one piece of patio furniture that pulls everyone outside after dark. It provides heat, light, and a flat surface for drinks — all in one unit. But with square, rectangular, and round options, choosing the right shape matters more than most people realize.
Shape Decides Everything
Square fire pit tables pack the most function into the smallest footprint. They fit flush against walls and railings, making them the go-to choice for small patios, balconies, and L-shaped sectionals. If you have less than 100 square feet of open space, start here.
Rectangular fire pit tables are built for entertaining. The elongated shape seats 6–8 people and pairs naturally with sectional sofas and dining benches. They work best on larger patios where the table becomes the centerpiece of a conversation zone.
Round fire pit tables create the most social seating layout. Everyone faces the fire — and each other — which makes round tables ideal for smaller groups of 4–6 who want face-to-face conversation rather than side-by-side seating.
What Every Model Includes
All BALI OUTDOORS fire pit tables ship with a 50,000 BTU propane burner, a powder-coated steel frame rated for outdoor use, and a removable 2-in-1 lid that converts the fire table into a flat serving surface. You also get lava rocks or fire glass, a propane hose and regulator, and a fitted weather cover.
Ignition is push-button on every model. No matches, no lighters, no pilot light to maintain. Turn it on, adjust the flame height with the control knob, and turn it off when you're done.
BTU and Burn Time
At 50,000 BTU, these tables produce enough radiant heat to keep a 10-foot radius comfortable on a 50°F evening. A standard 20 lb propane tank lasts 8–10 hours at medium flame, which covers most weekend evenings without a refill.
Safety and Clearance
Propane fire tables are approved for use on wood decks and covered patios as long as you maintain the clearance distances listed in your owner's manual — typically 24 inches from combustible walls and at least 8 feet below overhead structures. Each table includes a safety shut-off valve and a flame guard.
