Fire Table Wind Guards: Stabilize Your Flame, Improve Safety

A wind guard is a clear glass panel that sits on the rim of your fire table. It does two practical things: it blocks wind from disrupting the flame and it creates a physical barrier between the fire and anything that might blow into it — napkins, paper plates, or curious hands.

Tempered Glass Construction

BALI OUTDOORS wind guards are made from tempered glass — the same type used in oven doors and shower enclosures. Tempered glass is heat-rated to withstand the thermal cycling of fire pit use (rapid heating when the fire lights, cooling when it shuts off). If it ever does break, it shatters into small rounded pieces rather than sharp shards.

Better Burn Efficiency

Wind doesn't just make the flame dance — it forces the burner to consume more propane to maintain heat output. A wind guard reduces propane waste by keeping the flame contained and burning efficiently. On a breezy evening, the difference in gas consumption is noticeable.

Sizing

Wind guards are available in square and rectangular shapes to match your fire table. Measure the interior dimensions of your fire table burner area (not the outer table dimensions) to find the right fit. The guard should sit inside the rim with about 0.5 inches of clearance on each side.

Installation

No tools, no clips, no adhesive. Place the wind guard directly on the fire table rim around the burner. Lift it off to add fire glass, adjust the burner, or clean the table surface.
