Fire Pit Covers: Block Rain, Snow, UV, and Dust
An uncovered fire pit collects rainwater in the bowl, rusts at the burner connections, and fades in direct sun. A 600D fire pit cover blocks all four weather threats and costs a fraction of replacing damaged components.
What the Cover Protects
- Burner and ignition — moisture corrodes gas connections and clogs ignition ports. A cover keeps the entire burner assembly dry.
- Steel finish — rain and humidity accelerate surface rust, especially at weld points and edges. The PVC-backed cover creates a waterproof seal.
- Fire glass and lava rock — standing water discolors fire glass and causes lava rock to crack when heated after absorbing moisture.
Sizing
Measure the widest point of your fire pit, including handles or rim overhang. BALI OUTDOORS covers are available in round and square profiles to match different pit shapes. A properly sized cover has 1–2 inches of slack on each side — enough to slide on easily, tight enough to not flap.
Ventilation
Small air vents near the base prevent condensation buildup underneath. Without vents, trapped moisture between the cover and the fire pit surface can actually accelerate rust — the opposite of what you want.
Closure
An elastic hem hugs the base of the fire pit for a snug fit. No straps to buckle or ties to knot. Just stretch it over the top and let the elastic do the work.
